COLLAB W/ MOUNT WASHINGTON BACKCOUNTRY SKI FESTIVAL
Mount Washington Backcountry Ski Festival is a four-day immersive experience in the White Mountains in North Conway, New Hampshire. We're thrilled to partner with them and bring yoga to festival participants.
This day-long yoga and ski course will be offered on Saturday and Sunday.
If you’re looking to connect more deeply with YOUR true nature, IN nature, look no further! Fully integrating our experience in the backcountry, we’ll start our day with morning meditation and gentle yoga stretches to awaken the body and mind for a day on the hill. Expect to loosen up and stretch the key parts of the body used for skinning and skiing including shoulders, back, quads, and hamstrings. Along with the physical yoga practice, we’ll incorporate mindful meditation to bring us more fully into the present moment while exploring the beauty and serenity of the backcountry.
This day-long workshop with yoga, mindfulness, and skiing is offered on each day of the festival.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
LAURA ERICKSON | 300hr RYT
Laura is the founder and owner of Mountain Kula Yoga. After a 20 year career in outdoor apparel design, her love of yoga, and connection to the Be Well community led her to acquire the yoga space at Be Well Studios and launch Mountain Kula Yoga in late 2021. Laura was first introduced to yoga in 2005 while working at Eastern Mountain Sports Base Camp in Peterborough, NH. It was there that she learned the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga from former employee and co-worker, Robert Moses.
Taking classes at Be Well Studios, she continued to deepen her Ashtanga practice with Dana Deschenes and was inspired to pursue teacher training, seeking not only the physical, but the mental and emotional benefits of a yogic lifestyle. She has studied Ayurveda with Cate Stillman, Heart Centered Leadership and Facilitation via the Spiritual Psychology curriculum of the University of Santa Monica, and most recently received her 300hr YTT from Ashley Turners Yoga.Psyche.Soul teacher training, focused on yoga psychology, yoga for mental health, social justice, and trauma-informed yoga.
