PRANAYAMA| HATHA YOGA | YOGA PHILOSOPHY

Don’t Miss This Rare Opportunity To See Robert & Meenakshi In Person!

Robert has dedicated his life’s work to teaching how the healing benefits of yoga can improve one's life with more calm, focus, health, and happiness.

Class will begin with a welcome introduction, prayer, and a short explanation of pranayama before moving into easy practices to learn how to breathe better.

Pranayama practice will be followed by a 90-minute Asana practice led by Meenakshi.

Light Refreshments and tea will be served followed by a talk on Philosophy and the Aim of Yoga and Vedanta

Robert Sankara Moses has 50 years’ experience as a teacher of yoga and advaita vedanta. Born in South Africa, Robert studied architecture, traveled abroad and, in 1972, discovered yoga in the tradition of Swami Sivananda of Rishikesh, India. He served in the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centers for 22 years, teaching yoga teacher training and advanced training courses worldwide. He founded and continues to co-publish Namarupa: Categories of Indian Thought, a magazine about the philosophies and arts of India. Robert leads annual pilgrimages to sacred places of India. Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, Robert has been teaching Pranayama and philosophy courses on Zoom to students from around the world.

Meenakshi Moses has been practicing yoga since 1985 and became certified to teach in 1988. The class offered at Mountain Kula Yoga will reflect her personal practice gleaned from having explored different styles and learned from different teachers of hatha yoga. The practice will include Sukshma Vyayama (Subtle Practices) as warm up followed by asana to promote focus, calm, and opening of body and mind.
